About Us

With over 6 years of experience, we specialize in painting the exterior and interior of residential homes, commercial properties and stratas in Calgary, AB. We offer year-round employment and pride ourselves on our professionality, project management, and in depth training systems.

 

Where You Come In

  • Our marketers are our clients first contact in selecting a painting company to paint their most valuable asset and are responsible for leaving a first impression 

  • This role provides you the opportunity to develop faster than your peers in confidence, communication, and the art of persuasion while making a great income

  • Through developing outstanding communication skills you will have the opportunity to represent our company and help home owners in your neighbourhood transform their home

 

Compensation Plan

  • A marketer with Velocity Painting can expect to earn $22.50 - $25/hour based on their performance 

  • No claw backs on your commission. We pay you fair and square and ensure that you get paid for the time and effort you put into this role

 

What’s Required to Work With Us

Here's what we're looking for from you:

  • A self starter mindset is a key trait to successful candidates in this position due to the autonomy of this role and the control you have over your income

  • A marketer at Velocity Painting must be able to clearly communicate their pitch while maintaining a positive and energetic attitude indifferent to the outcome of their previous client interaction

  • Being a dedicated and hardworking individual is a must for this role due to marketing outdoors in various weather throughout the season and the repetitive nature of this role

  • A desire to constantly be learning and improving in this position will set you apart from the average candidate and open doors for advancement in the company

  • Being very competitive will allow you to excel in this position and drive you to outperform your co workers

 

Responsibilities of the Job

  • Generate painting leads by going door to door and delivering our pitch

  • Objection handling potential clients

  • Talking to hundreds of people every shift

  • Hanging flyers and handing out marketing material to prospects

  • Canvasing neighbourhoods in Calgary, AB

 

Other Requirements 

  • Access to and ability to operate a vehicle (due to changing locations public transit does not work for this position)

  • Ability to work evenings between 3 - 7pm or weekend afternoons as a substitute 

  • Interest in working part time hours (12 - 20 per week)

  • Ability to walk around neighbourhoods while marketing for upwards of 3 hours at a time

  • Previous customer facing positions are not required but are an asset
